Krondor is one of the first attempts to make a true 3D fully animated graphical novel. With the full cooperation of the author, Raymond Feist, the designers set out to design a game set in the world of the author's books which would play out as if the player were reading a new novel in the series. The game was divided into nine chapters, but within each, the player was free to roam and guide the story towards its conclusion, as quickly or slowly as he/she chose.
