The Tex Murphy detective adventure games were always well ahead of their time, and this one was no exception. At a time when games like Myst offered only pre-rendered fixed-orientation environments to explore, Killing Moon was the first to provide full 3D first-person smooth scrolling rendered environments, along the same lines as Doom and other first-person shooters of the time. It was truly remarkable for its time and was a huge game spanning four CDs.
