Tunnels and Trolls (T&T) was started by Ken St. Andre, in the late 70s, as his answer to the then-new Dungeons and Dragons game. Offering an alternative with much simpler rules and more whimsical in nature (such as spells named Take That You Field), it had its own following and dozens of modules were released for it over the years, as well as a couple of related computer games. T&T is still very much alive today, and Ken's current website can be found here.
