Museum News

Several unusual items have been added with this latest update including a couple rare TRS-80 adventures: Naked Nightmare and Castle Myrhavell. Also 10 issues of the Enchanted Realms journal have found their home here (full PDFs coming soon). And much more. Use the search box or click the Recent Acquisitions link to browse through them.

After some delay, scanning is back in full swing, with about two dozen large books to go. After that, essentially all game-related material in the museum will have been completely digitized. Note we have also significantly trimmed down the Programming books section, removing books that had little or nothing to do with computer gaming history.

Among other items in this latest update, the museum now contains a complete set of all the Topologika adventures. Additionally, several duplicates were acquired which are now on sale in the Museum Shop. Don't miss this chance to grab one of these rare games! Scanning of books should resume in early to mid-May.

We've moved!

It was a lot of work, but the entire museum has now been relocated to Montreal, Canada! As a reminder, the museum is not open to the public, but may be available for visiting by appointment on a case-by-case basis - contact us for more info. Book scanning has been temporarily put on hold but will resume again in about a month or two. About 60 large books remain to be scanned.

Book scanning continues at a furious pace, with the current focus on the hint book anthology and programming book rooms. With this weeks update all the QuestBusters hint book anthologies are now scanned, except the two that are currently missing from the museum (Book of Orbs and Manual of Swords) and scanning of the whole section is nearly complete. This may be the last update before the new year, so happy holidays to all, and may the new year bring many more rare vintage games!
