It appears to me that this is mixed together from different editions. While the manual is clearly a first edition manual (1979), the tape is clearly a late (1981) Atari tape. I dont know for sure, but i think as late as 1981, Automated Simulations didnt sold games in ziplocks anymore.

This is the first release of the game, and was probably sold without any box. It is interesting to note that on the back it says Microquest No. 1, suggesting they intended to start a new Microquest series, and then dropped the name later on.
